The Past vs Present

In the past decades children’s forms of leisure were limited to sports, outdoor activities and some mild electronic entertainments. That was because back then the technology was rather limited not to mention somewhat a luxury. Then again children back then could easily play outside their houses with some good old fashioned sports games. There were other outdoor activities like flying kites, hide and seek and even by just running around in the street. Then mild electronic media like television and a few video games were present at the time which somewhat balanced out all those physical activities.

Children these days on the other hand have grown different. Due to the growth of technology the electronic media have consumed a bigger portion of children’s leisure activities rather than the outdoor activities. You can also see children as young as 8 years old hold such high tech gadgets like computer tablets and smart phones. There isn’t anything wrong with this scenario; it just goes to show how children of each generation have different outlets for their enjoyment. As long as these children are taught well and grow up fine then it should be alright.
