Scheduled Car Service

My car was scheduled for it's 10,000 kms. checked few months ago. I thought that it's gonna be free if not cheap because I am going to have it done on the dealers garage. I was shocked that they are going to charge me almost $300. The amount cost same as buying a brand new odyssey pc 680. Good thing is they give me the price before they start the service. I don't know why they charge so much. My car is brand new and well maintained. Duh!
