A Drummer Protege
So I started checking out drum sets and bumped into the pork pie drums from musicians friend. It is a pork pie little squealer set. I think this is something professional drummers would want to use. I guess I will just have to check out drum sets here in our local music store as our son is still going to start learning and not yet a pro in it.

Monstrous Tornado in the US
Yesterday it was in the news that the suburbs of Oklahoma City in the US has been struck with a monstrous tornado living a devastation so massive no one can fathom. The destruction extended of up to 20 miles long and about a mile wide leveling houses and infrastructure. The most hit was an Oklahoma schools that were said to have kids and teachers trapped. This deadly tornado claimed more than 20 lives, injured hundreds, and there are still more people missing. The rescuers are now racing against time to save lives that may have been still trapped in those rubles. This force of nature was categorized as EF4 and as we all can see the damage is so extensive. My heart breaks as I've seen the devastation in pictures. My sincere condolences to those who are affected and my prayers to the people of Oklahoma that they will still be strong amidst this tragedy.
Cool Godin Bass
Godin is a maker of guitars that originated in Canada. They carry mid-range to top-of-the-line quality electric guitars that is made of high quality wood found in the northern part of North America. Their high-end products were made with innovations and use synthesizer pickups as a standard feature.
I also read that Godin electrics are also trusted by renowned guitarists. I have seen this cool godin bass electric guitar in one of the music stores around here and I would say it has a traditional shape and similar with other electric guitar manufacturers. But I am pretty sure that those who are guitar pro can make distinction of which guitar maker they prefer. For me, as long as it is a guitar and makes music, I don't have anything to say.

Our Garden Produce
I am so glad of our weather here in Australia. It is like a tropical place where we can plant different crops, fruits and vegetables just like in my home country. I am also thankful of my husband who loves gardening as his hobby. We have few fruit trees in our backyard and we already have ample harvests over the years that he started gardening.
Above are the fruits that we harvested back in April. There are mandarins and papayas aside from the veggies that we already used in our cooking. If we buy these in stores it will cost us more, so having it in our backyard is a great blessing. Not only for our health but also for saving us money in buying them. Aside from it, we know where our fruits came from.

Planning for Future Holiday
Honestly I am refreshed now that I have been able to relax for more than a month with our vacation to the Philippines. I did a lot of personal things for the family there aside from visiting different places. Now that we are back here in Australia, we are also back with our very hectic schedules. I and hubby going to work and the kids to school. Anytime soon we are going to plan for another holiday again to enjoy as well as to relax. This will need me to check out for cheap hotel rooms for our accommodation. We love to travel and drive as a family and having a great find on accommodation is a must for our family of 5.
The previous summer we also drive across and even went to Melbourne. We thought of going on the road again and visit Sydney when the kids will be off from school. We have lots of friends there from our home country that I would love to visit. I also have relatives in other provinces here in Oz that I also want to visit one day. It will just depend later on where I can get good rates for hotel rooms and then we will for sure be on the road again.
On the other token, I learned from our previous travels that it is best to compare rates for different hotels first before deciding on which one to take. It is one travel tip that I learned that I will now apply for our future travels. Our transportation is all set but the accommodation is very important as we have kids and we don't want them to be uncomfortable during the holiday. We can drive long hours but at the end of the day, a great and comfy place to relax and sleep during trips.
